Meet our Executive Chef, Jeff Howe – a culinary maestro who believes in the magic of creating and building with his hands. For Jeff, the kitchen is not just a workplace; it’s his sanctuary where he turns fresh, local ingredients into culinary masterpieces.

Building and creating with his hands has always been Jeff’s passion. He’d rather be in the kitchen than in a cubicle, and the wow factor for him lies in growing something in the garden or taking a couple of ingredients and transforming them into a delectable dish. Collaboration is key in Jeff’s world, providing his team with a sense of accomplishment and pride in what they do.

Jeff honed his epicurean skills at Johnson & Wales University, graduating in 2000 with a Degree in Culinary Arts. His culinary journey started in 2001 as a Banquet Chef at the Sheraton in Springfield, MA, followed by experiences at various restaurants in the greater Boston area. Jeff then became part of the renowned Boston Harbor Hotel, overseeing the transformation of Intrigue into The Sea Grille and managing Meritage, the hotel’s fine dining restaurant.

His keen eye is always on the dishes going out every day, consistently striving for improvement in the details. As he believes, “If you want something to shine, keep it simple.” Jeff takes joy in elevating the ingredients while keeping things simple and believes in the power of taking ideas, making them better, and building something unique.

Early in his career Jeff’s aspiration was to become a sous chef, guided by a genuine love for the art of cooking. Over time, he had the privilege of working in renowned kitchens, gradually working his way up the ranks to the role of executive chef at several prominent and world-class restaurants. Now, his goal is to mentor his team with genuine humility, sharing the lessons learned along his culinary journey to support their growth. Together, they prepare world-class cuisine, channeling their collective passion to create unforgettable experiences for our guests. “Our commitment extends to crafting creative and inspiring dishes that redefine the culinary landscape of our restaurant”.

Rejoining the Columbus Hospitality Group in 2010, Jeff’s passion led him to contribute to the creation of a Dry Aging program at L’Andana and serve as the Executive Chef at Teatro. His decade-long tenure with the Columbus Hospitality Group, known for Boston’s most celebrated restaurants, showcases his dedication to culinary excellence.
